IUI questions!

I have just received my medication for forthcoming IUI to start on first day of my next period.

Have also been told that I need a few internal scans during my period. Urgh, how does this work? Wont it be messy? Will I have somewhere to clean up!?

Also, does anyone have any tips on making the injecting painless? I am feeling very anxious about it all!

Transvaginal ultrasounds early in your cycle are really normal when having fertility treatment, and nothing to worry about. The staff will be completely used to doing them, and it's just not a big deal at all. Please don't worry about this!

Don’t worry about the scans, like Persipan said, the staff are used to doing them.

My DH did my injections for me and we found that it hurt more if he injected it slowly, so I would recommend doing them quite quickly and in a more fleshy area.

@Sophronia It just feels yucky when you know you're bleeding! She said I should start injections on day of period but what if they cant get me in to show me how to do it on the day? I have no clue what I am doing or what dose I need to prep - or how to prep
