Medicated IUI timeline

I've been recommended medicated IUI and am wondering about timings etc as it'll have a bearing on which clinic (location) I choose.

For those who've had medicated IUI, how often did you have to go for scans in the run up to the actual treatment?

I'm trying to work out whether it'll be a nightmare choosing a cheaper clinic that's further away, or if it's worth paying more for a clinic nearer where I live and work.

Hi Zoo

In the medicated cycles I have had a scan on day 2/3 then another a week later. That has been enough for me and I’ve then had the IUI’s a day or 2 later, but depending on how fast your body reacts to the stimulation you might need another one 2 days or so after that. So I’d say no more than 3 based on my experiences.

Hope this helps

Thanks @closephine85

The price difference seems to be about £500 per cycle which is pretty big, but would mean I don't have to worry about taking lots of half days to travel to scans having started a new job. Especially if I have lots of cycles...

Decisions 😩
