Tell me your sperm donor stories

My sister has recently revealed to us that she and her DH have been TTC for several years now but the long and short of it is her DH sperm is just a no go. They have been mulling over adoption but also donated sperm so she can still go through the pregnancy and birth journey with her DH. Please tell me your stories involving this process be they good or bad or anything in between- just looking for real world advice! Thank you

I would direct your sister to the Donor Conception Network website where there is lots of information on donor conception with real life letters from Dads who have used donor sperm plus other stories and support for couples thinking about using a donor. If they are already with a fertility clinic they may find that they are entitled to free counselling. It would perhaps also be worth paying for private fertility counselling so they can explore these issues.
