iui prices

Hey I'm looking to start my iui process in a few months and currently in the saving money stage!

I've contacted a few clinics and have prices from them but they all vary a little!

I was hoping if anyone going through iui or been through iui can give me the package price with tests, scans, sperm and treatment all included?

Much appreciated!
:-)

I have no advice (sorry) but am following this with interest.

Mine worked out at ~£1.3k per cycle, including scans, medications, insemination, donor sperm and an early scan. I had already had tests done beforehand so they weren't included. I believe this is cheaper than most, it was a no frills service and there was a waiting list.

I worked out it cost me £7.5k to have my baby boy (born 11 weeks ago). I had 3 rounds of IUI so that was the initial consultations, tests, sperm, drugs, scans etc. Totally worth it of course but I was shocked when I actually added it all up! The rounds where I had to buy sperm (I had to buy two lots at a time) cost £2.5k and the round where I already had the sperm was just over £1k.

I went to Denmark. Minimal tests and £500 per round of iui. There are some NHS clinics in UK that will treat you you just have to buy the sperm.

TinyPaws · 30/04/2018 22:12

@starpatch Did that include sperm?

starpatch · 01/05/2018 11:17

yes all inclusive but obviously I did have travel costs on top. With Denmark you have choice of completely anonymous sperm which is cheaper but I didn't feel comfortable with it, or open sperm donor has committed to one hour meeting with the child if they request it once they reach 18. Something to bear in mind is there is a significant increased risk or ovarian cancer with hormone assisted iui or IVF UK clinics do seem to push the more medicalised treatments.

Can I ask which clinic that was?

Unfortunately I have an irregular cycle and do not get positive OPK sticks (although I believe I do ovulate naturally) so natural cycle IUI is not an option for me.

diers clinic I should have said my son is 6 so prices probably changed. They only do simple iui though they don't have any doctors only midwives.
