I've noticed a few posts on here from women asking for egg donors- I've been considering egg donation and thought I would post on here because, I think in part, I want to have some even minimal contact with the potential mother.
A little about me- I'm a 26 yo single mother of a 2yo boy. Becoming a mother to him has transformed me in the best possible ways and I'd like for someone else to have the opportunity to experience motherhood, or to experience it again if that's what they want!
(Saying that, I'm pretty sure I'm done with baby making. That could of course change but I've never been super maternal and a combination of wanting to focus on other things and my waning attraction to the male gender means I can't see more kids in my future.)
I'm 5"4, slim, dark brown hair and eyes and olive skinned. My interests are in the arts and psychology. I have a good degree and no health problems except for some short sightedness.
I first felt drawn to donate eggs when I was around 20 and came to understand how devastating infertility could be, and what an amazing gift egg donation is. I think I was watching a documentary, and I'm only slightly ashamed to say that I cried. I'm looking into this now because I have slightly more energy (toddler seems to be sleeping through- yay!) and I'm moving house next year so the reimbursement would be useful. I'm currently in London.
