Hi, I'm 32 and lucky enough to have my ds through first attempt IVF. I would love to have more children and am thinking about egg sharing as an option. I have PCO and Ulcerative Colitis. I have found a clinic that will accept me, but would like people's opinions, would you "pick" me as an egg donor knowing my medical history? I don't want to be left on a waiting list if I don't have a chance of being selected/matched.

The pco and colitis wouldn't bother me. I was also 32 when I took part (successfully) in an egg sharing ivf scheme this was 21 years ago though. Are your conditions hereditary? If they are not then your worrying for nothing

It really depends on the other options. I'd probably want to avoid any health issues I could, but there probably aren't many people without something!
Dsis has PCO and DH has ulcerative colitis so at least your issues would feel like things I'm familiar with

The UC would bother me a little, the PCO not at all. The UC would probably not bother me enough not to choose you, but if there was a choice of 2 almost identical donors apart from the fact you have UC, I'd go with the one without UC.

I used a DE to avoid passing on a genetic condition so I wanted the donor to be in perfect health. So I wouldn't have used you, I'm sorry :-(

The pco and colitis isnt that much of a problem, its just that some people would like to investigate their donor and would want them to be in perfect health, in that case it can be a problem for few, otherwise i feel it is all ok.
