Pickle my injections were almost all in the evening (at the same time each day) with maybe a couple in the morning. Nothing at work.
Pez the pens are good and you get several doses out of each. Very fine needle and easy to use. I think my drugs were approx £1K per cycle and I had some left over. I had Gonal F to stimulate follicles for a few days, then coupled with Orgalutran to stop me ovulating and then Buserlin to trigger. Second cycle was Cetrotide instead of Orgalutran because no one could get any. I preferred Orgalutran because I had to mix the Cetrotide which freaked me out. I'll look up the numbers.
Welcome TTC3! You're right, I think we are all donor sperm so far and either single or in same sex relationships so far, maybe because those were the circumstances of the original posters, but I'm sure you'll be welcome.
My clinic had nurses show you how to do each injection in detail. I videoed the explanations on my phone so I could refer back to them. I did my own injections. All mine were stomach ones, no ice packs involved, that would have been worse than the jabs themselves! Probably legs hurt more, less fat, on me anyway.
I was DREADING the injections and they were absolutely fine. I didn't think positive thoughts, I just figured it must be possible. Grab a bit of stomach (I hope you're not super skinny!) rest needle against skin at 90 degrees and it just pushes in. No stabbing movement necessary! Weirdly I found sometimes one bit of skin didn't yield to the needle but if I moved it a fraction it would just slide in. I didn't have to do any leg ones. The ease depended on how thick the needle was but none of them were awful.
Hoping glad it went well.
Oh, Pez, I finally replied to your PM, sorry, I mumsnet on the app normally so didn't see it. Really appreciate the help!
Caution, is it Wednesday you've got the docs, or did I make that up? Karen very hopeful for you on Wednesday!
