Entitlement during separation

Hi everyone,

I am after some advice from anyone who may have been in a similar situation.
I have been with my husband 10 years and have two children 8 and 5, married for 3.
I no longer want to be in the marriage, it has been a difficult 18 months and my decision is clear. He is a great guy but I have fallen out of love and we are not aligned in many things now. The guilt is horrendous, I have offered to coparent amicably but he wants all or nothing and would rather not be around me if we are not together.
I am starting an unpaid PCGE tomorrow and working paid 10 hours per week on top of that. I have applied for single persons universal credit as we are separated despite still living together.
We own the house but he inherited it off his parents and lived there when I met him after they passed awwy. I have contributed towards bills and the house but worried I financially I might be in a bad position because of this.
Has anyone else claimed single UC whilst still married but separated living under the same roof? And has anyone been in a similar position with a house?
Just looking for some advice during an incredibly stressful time.
Thanks if you got this far.
