Changing back to maiden name

I'm just looking for advice from other people who have done this.
I've been divorced 3 years separated for 12. It's been a long time I know. I'm now feeling I want to get back to my old name. I'm not very good at dealing with paperwork and life admin especially around my ExH but now I'm getting over the divorce I really want to get my name back. Could someone who has done this please break it down for me, where do I start? I know I don't need a deed poll as I have a decree absolute I'm just scared of messing it up.

You just change it, start using it and inform al the normal companies. Same as when you got married. Some will let you change it yourself in online accounts, some will want a copy of divorce certificate.

Passport and driving license will cost money to change.

You need a Statutory Declaration.

You write it out, sign it, two witnesses.

Send copies to everyone.

My passport and driving licence are due renewal anyway. So I suppose it's the right time, just feels like a big step.

I've never needed this. You are actually legally entitled to use both names when you are married. You just tell people and send divorce certificate if they ask.
