Did sertraline help during divorce?

I’m about to start divorce proceedings in 2 months from a narcissistic husband of 20yrs. Been In therapy for over a year and have been grey rocking for 7months. I’m mentally and physically exhausted. Waiting for dd to sit her 11+exams hence the long wait.

Did anyone benefit from taking sertraline to take the panicky, anxious edge off?

Please share your experiences.

Yes. Absolute lifesaver.

I’ve taken it, though not in these circumstances. My parent was dying at the time and it really helped me. I felt really low beforehand and couldn’t stop crying. Within a few days of starting Sertraline I felt brighter and I would recommend it. It did give me diarrhoea for a few weeks though (but I also have IBS so am prone to this). Good luck.

Posted too soon! I think it have me just a bit more calm and quietened anxious thoughts when I needed it. Came off them 1 year after final divorce and house moves.

Thanks all. I decided to start them Monday and hopefully they’ll kick in soon. Feeling very groggy on them at the moment. It’s only been 3 days, so expected I guess.
