Divorce and properties

Hi all. I’m going through a divorce but we have properties- he won’t engage in any of the process because he didn’t want the divorce (even though he’s cheated multiple times). Is it true if you move out during divorce, you could lose out on the equity? (For my mental health I want to move out but I would have to continue paying bills on the house until everything is finalised). Thanks

No that’s not correct
moving out does not impact financial entitlements. It can impact any claim that you must retain that specific property in cases where, eg, you are wanting a mesher order as moving out shows that it’s possible to be housed elsewhere.
but no financial claims are impacted by moving out.

it can make it more challenging to get to a financial agreement/sell as the other party has no urgency or desire to sell etc if you’ve moved out and can make a sale difficult
