Freedom Day!

I was messing around with Google AI - normally a load of nonsense- but this time it was actually useful. I asked it for ideas on how to spend a day celebrating my Final Order which is likely to be next week, because I am really ruminating about awful ex and how he is still the expert in getting in my head.

I'm in London and it came up with some cracking things to do solo which I probably wouldn't have thought of. I have gone from mild dread to being really excited and energised!

So how did you mark the big day? Or how would you/will you when it finally comes?

I'm not divorced but before she died my mum used to celebrate divorcing the twat every year with a meal out. No matter what we were doing we made time because we knew how hard-won that freedom was. We called it Independence Day. I still raise a glass to her on that date every year.

I love that @Darragon - so easy to just move on and try to forget but hard-won is exactly the phrase. It deserves to be marked. I'll toast everyone who has walked this path on my big day too
