I don't want to speak too soon but we might have an agreement....consent order being drafted as we speak. Fingers crossed he signs it then it will be submitted by my solicitor.

Sooooo - how long are people waiting when its submitted to the online portal? I need a timescale to think about, ive been waiting so so long.

Mine took 2 weeks last month

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 20/04/2026 17:43

Oh I would be delighted with that, thanks.

DP's is now in his 4th week of waiting- his solicitor said 4-6 weeks. After 6+years of separation seems like a drop in the ocean for him yet so frustratingly close to the end!

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 22/04/2026 12:43

@backtoschoolsnot was it submitted online? Do you know which court?

OP posts:
hahabahbag · 22/04/2026 12:47

10 days or so, was quicker than expected, didn’t query anything despite being far from standard and missing huge amounts of information

MustTidyUpMustTidyUp · 27/04/2026 18:59

Anyone else? I’ve been waiting a month and it’s still not gone before the judge. Now have to delay applying for the final order.

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 27/04/2026 20:17

After mich tooing and froing mine has been submitted today. Let the waiting begin. Again.

@MustTidyUpMustTidyUp how are you tracking it? Did you submit it yourself?

OP posts:
MustTidyUpMustTidyUp · 27/04/2026 21:51

No, chased up solicitor last week and she checked.

backtoschoolsnot · 28/04/2026 06:14

DP still waiting on his - now into the 5th week. His was submitted online, he's paranoid its going to get kicked back as its 51/49 in his favour. He knows she's left out information though so is going to save that gem for when the final order comes 😆

hope you all hear soon!

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 29/04/2026 17:59

This waiting is awful isnt it. I hope I can put it out of my mind for a few weeks

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 02/05/2026 08:17

DP has just been informed the consent order waiting time at Bristol is "up to 20 weeks".

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 13/05/2026 16:18

An update. Mine was looked at and refused, 2 days after it was submitted, meaning we had to go to court (hearing ws already listed)

It was agreed in court and recived by email 6 days later!

ikeepforgetting · 16/05/2026 10:50

Why was it refused @Illbefinejustbloodyfine ? Solicitor submitted mine yesterday and I honestly can't take any more delays!

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 16/05/2026 18:09

We had a court date already imminent, and apparentlybif an agreement is reached clise to the court date they will refuse it and do it in court.

It was an uneven split that wasn't adequately explained. 70/30 in my favour and i keep my pension. I explained the reasoning behind it. I house the dc 100% of the time. I work part time because I have dc 100% of the time . My career, salary, progression , pension have all been compromised as a result. As has my mortgage capacity . The house isn't excessive. Far from it. 2 bed, 2dc. I could afford the agreement, so it was either he take 30% now or has nothing for 12 years minimum.

Thanks for replying @Illbefinejustbloodyfine glad you got it sorted and can move on. Fingers crossed I won't have to wait too long

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 17/05/2026 09:02

@ikeepforgetting good luck! Mine was also looked at VERY quickly so fingers crosed for you.

mumobsessedwithdamp · 20/05/2026 12:42

Ours was 6 weeks and it was an uneven split AND we hadn't got legal advice. I had read a lot of posts on here saying the courts would reject any uneven split when we hadn't got legal advice. But we were fine. We used Amicable and included a justification of why it wasn't 50:50. I just wanted to let others know it is possible to get divorced without involving lawyers.
