I left my husband 14 years ago. It was scary having to start over (I moved countries to come home). It was hard but best decision ever. Wish I had done it earlier!

Four years later I met my soulmate snd couldn’t be happier. Looking back at my marriage it seems like I was a different person - a shell of myself.

I left 3.5 years ago. I was with my ex for 34 years, nearly 30 of those married.

I have had no regrets. Its a testing process. You need support, realism of the situation. Patience, sturdiness and an ability to deal with all the emotions which occur. I have posted many times mentioning emotions, you might feel sad, angry, nervous all in one day. This alone is a big challenge. Knowing the process will uniquely bring you different challenges can sort of prepare you for tge worst.

Do as much research as you can in preparation for the emotional and practical aspects.

BE KIND TO YOURSELF.
