Im on day 5 of separation from my husband, we have 3 children.
I am feeling horrific, mentally, emotionally, physically, can't eat and feel so alone. Does anybody want to chat who's at a similar stage via here/pm/WhatsApp. I feel it'd help me to chat with someone whose at the same hellish stage of life as me.
For those who have already been through it, please please tell me it gets better as Im really struggling 😢

I'm on day 6, lived together for around 25 years, married for 10. Our children are older, one at uni, one older teen. First 4 days I just cried and cried. I've started feeling a little better and taking little actions to gain back control.
Is your break up acrimonious? Mine came as a total shock but is reasonably amicable which helps.
Have you got anyone around to help with practical things?

Hi. I'm on week 3 of a 25yr relationship ending.

I instigated it, mainly because of his alcohol dependency and emotional threats and outbursts. He actually asked for divorce in anger, I know he didn't mean it but I followed it through anyway. But it's been the hardest decision I've ever made. Despite this I still love him, he's not dealing with it well and is broken and I'm scared for him.

We have teenagers who are coping ok for now. I'm moving out in a couple of weeks.

Also feel so alone and heartbroken , grieving for everything we have been through and lost. I've been on annual leave this week but don't know how to face work, I'm hoping it'll be a good distraction
