He says he has been advised that we can not progress the divorce and he can not do the financial order because I haven't clicked the button to progress onto the conditional order, is that right? U was advised not to click to button to the conditional order until finances had been sorted and i was told the solicitor will have to wright to the court and explain the delay.

I'm asking here because I need advice and my solicitor shut in 30 mins.

I couldn't do my financial (consent order) until my conditional order (old decree nisi) was in place, and was advised not to do the final order (decree absolute in old money) until after the consent order came through.

Hope that makes sense

Thanks, I must have got it wrong.

It's ok. It is massively confusing. Conditional, consent, everything is called an order - it all just blurs into one 🙈 hope you get it sorted, I am now 6 months divorced and still not done with finances and solicitors as my house sale not yet finished!

Sending you good luck your way!

The court cannot approve a financial consent order until you have your conditional order. However you should hold off on applying for the Final Order until the finances are settled and approved by the court x
