45 yr marriage...I'm done.
Has anyone just walkednout with their clothes?
Own our house so that will be sold...how do you buy a house for yourself in the meantime? Second property tax etc...I keep finding obstacles...help

Why would you leave your house and all your stuff? After 45 years you could just wait for all assets to be divided up in the divorce.
If you're in your 60s, will you be able to get a new mortgage? (I'm not sure how it works, so sorry if that's a stupid question)
Live separately in your property, own meals, laundry etc.

You can buy a house without getting a mortgage if you have the means.

Do you have the means to do this? If not, you'll have to sell the FMH first.

Are you scared of him? I am trying to understand why you wouldn’t tell him you want to separate/get legal advice etc
