Can't change email on application

I applied for divorce a few weeks ago and application is accepted. I am changing my business email to reduce costs and went online to update my email address and it says I can't change the email on my account!

It says you can add a new email address just for correspondence which i have just done but you can't change the email associated with the divorce.

The email address is costing me a lot so wondered if it is just to use that as a login but they won't check if the email is still working?? I am now worried if I cancel the email address it will mess everything up.

Has anyone had this problem. It seems really weird you can't update an email address.

Exactly this. All correspondence will go to your new email address. The old one will just be used as a login (username). Just make sure you 100% know your password otherwise a reset will be sent to the original email address

I thought that would be the case but I hadn't thought about the reset password issue so I will make sure I don't forget that password.
