I am representing myself, but I would like to use a Barrister for the FDR i’ve started to look for one, but it looks like a bit of a minefield so I’m wondering if anybody can recommend one that operates in the south West of England

Cheapest would be to phone clerk at chambers that have family experience closest to the court you will be in (otherwise you will be paying for travel). They will advise you and will know availability for their chambers. Unless you are super organised, you want someone fairly experienced as you won’t have a solicitor pulling the docs together for you in the usual way. if you are south west St John’s in Bristol is v well regarded generally (I don’t know for family but would think so).
