Anyone else drowning in Form E paperwork?

I’m helping a friend and noticed how overwhelming Form E is — documents, deadlines, ES1, ES2… it feels like no one explains what any of it actually means.
If anyone else is trying to get it done and feeling totally lost, what parts are you finding the hardest?
Just trying to understand how others are coping with it all.

this sounds like AI market research

It's dreadful. Why is such a crap format too? And do all solicitors just send endless emails back and forth? Why can't things be done in a collaboration platform so you can see updates? I feel like I've gone back in time

God yes, I found Form E absolutely brutal when I had to do it last year.
For me the hardest bits were honestly just understanding what they wanted in each section - like Part 3 where you have to list your income needs, I kept second-guessing whether I was supposed to include things or not. And then the documents schedule at the end where you have to tick off what you've attached I was never sure if I had everything or if I'd missed something crucial.

and yeah The deadline thing stressed me out too - you've got 35 days before the First Appointment to get it all filed and served...wtf??

A dear friend lent me a copy of her Form E. We’re obviously good friends and the info I read I never divulged to anyone… but it was lockdown and I was desperate.

I found it really helpful.

My SHL encouraged me to put everything down. Absolutely everything.
