He’s going - but exactly how should we do it?

I’ve posted an awful lot about my situation. Long term problems, but I always hesitated to push the button. Well now I have, he’s found somewhere to go and now we just have to organise him actually going - and decide when to tell DCs.

They’re older teens - so aware things are far from right, and likely to ask difficult questions.

I know we tell them together, and I’ve read the start of the weekend is good so they have time to process. After dinner on a Friday??

And then when does he actually go? I feel like it should be as soon as possible (the next day?) but worry that’s for me. Or is it better they’re not here when he goes? Should I be here if they are?

Sorry to come back on here asking yet more questions about what I should do. It’s only that the Mumsnet hive mind has helped so much before.
