For anyone who has applied for final order recently….how long after hitting the final order button did you get confirmation you are legally divorced?

Still waiting. My solicitor lodged it about 4 weeks ago..

I’ve just seen on a forum “you will receive an email confirming whether it has been granted within 2 working days”

Anyone else?

About 14 hours!

Ex contacted me to say he had received the email and was I OK with him hitting the button. That was around 7pm. The next morning I got confirmation at about 9am!

@CocoPlumI’m really hoping it’s quite it’s gone on long enough! I plan to hit the button literally 00:00 go sleep and hopefully get a best news ever when I wake up! Was your solo or joint? Mine is solo so am I right in saying only I (the applicant) applies for it? Only I had to apply for conditional order. Tbh stbx has not engaged in anything from application to now and told me if I want the divorce then to do it myself as she isn’t lifting a finger!

Are you sure you aren't thinking of the consent order? The solicitor doesn't need to apply for the final order

less than 12 hours. I believe that’s pretty common timing.

@notmypeasnotmyallotment just came across this thread. What day of the week did you apply for yours? I’ve applied 6am today and hope it’s done today and not after the weekend!

It was a Thursday morning.

Mine didn't come through, so after 2 weeks I rang the govt helpline. Mine was in a queue of queries to do with a discrepancy on the address we stated we got married at and the address where our marriage certificate said we got married. Explained the issue and 20 mins later got an email saying we were divorced!

Less than 24 hours!!
