Post divorce mandatory admin

I'm very grateful to have just received my final order for divorce. I'm already living with separate bank accounts, new rental in my name etc.

What are the must do admin I need to do to let people know I'm now divorced. I know there is guidance on HMRC. House and car insurance maybe (I was living alone but probably said 'Married').

Any obvious ones I really should do? I hate the fact that every form I fill in from now on will have to select the 'divorced' option as a constant reminder.

You do need to make a new will to reflect your wishes after death.

If you're changing your name just work your way through all your bills and bank statements etc. passport was fine and shouldn't be the faff some on here seem to think it is.

Change your pension beneficiaries.

Yep any pension beneficiaries or next of kin details. Also death in service if you are working, make sure he doesn’t get it. Otherwise, only if you change your name contact all financial institutions, passport, driving license etc.
