Bank statements

Does anyone know if it is possible to obscure parts of transactions
on my bank statements when submitting them with the Form E?

My ex was very controlling and left me unwell. I am really worried about him having information about social things I have been doing. Nothing sinister, just the usual cinema, break away etc but I’m scared about him having information about where I socialise and what I do.

I have an appointment with my solicitor next week so will ask then but wanted to find out before if possible.

Thank you

Sorry you’re going through this OP. Unfortunately though the purpose of Form E is full and frank disclosure, the bank statements are used to help uncover things like suspicious transfers, hiding money etc so you’re very unlikely to be able to edit them because otherwise he can then do the same and you then end up with a situation where neither disclosure is particularly useful because you don’t know whether a £500 payment was genuinely for a weekend break or a transfer to a friend to hide the money for example.

My ExH tried to redact the parts of his bank statements which were transactions related to him wooing the other woman 😂 My solicitor wrote a strongly worded letter to his solicitor asking for unredacted copies. I don’t know why ExH thought I was interested in what or who he was spending money on…I had realised at that point how much happier I was without him! Anyway OP, no I doubt it would be allowed however please discuss it with your solicitor. Best of luck.
