Has anyone used an online conveyancing solicitor for transferring share of house after divorce proceedings. Am trying to keep the cost down.

No I think you need to see someone face to face. I'm not sure about the authenticity of online solicitors, especially for something as important as this.

We used a local firm - but never met - and it was all done over email of a couple of calls. That’s pretty standard

I think you can as it is all in a digital platform nowadays. Very straightforward paperwork with land registry. Most online platforms have solicitors within their books but knowing who to trust. Divorce is costing enough so don't want high street solicitor.
Thanks for replying 🙂

If it's sale or transfer only, personally I would consider online.

I've just done a load of research & while I don't have any experience of using them, home legal direct were the cheapest I found with best trust pilot reviews.

For transparency - we did go with a local solicitor as were doing sale & purchase. Again we went on reviews when choosing.
