I applied for my conditional order at the beginning of April. It took five weeks for me to hear back from the court with the date it would be pronounced in court and a further three weeks for it to be pronounced, so eight weeks in total. It's a long time to have to wait when you've already waited twenty weeks.

@Iwanttobreakfree2 wow super long! Then another 6 weeks 1 day after this right?

Yes. You can apply for the final order 6 weeks and 1 day after you have received the conditional order, although it is advisable to get any existing matrimonial finances sorted and signed off first. In my case it will be much longer than 6 weeks as my ex is refusing to sort the finances even though we are going through family court. 😧

@Iwanttobreakfree2 no matrimonial/joint assets and therefore nothing to divide so it’ll just be a clean break

You still have to appt for the financial order even if there are no assets to split

@millymollymoomoo yes I know and no issues on that front!
