Hi - please can people share their experiences of:
1)date they applied for conditional order
2)when you received email back from courts
3)date it was pronounced in court

Trying to guage timeframe as I get married 1st Nov.

I applied for my conditional order on 2nd April. I received an email back on 7th May and it will be pronounced in court on 27th May.

OneAmberShaker · 12/05/2025 15:44

So about 8 week wait then?

OP posts:
Iwanttobreakfree2 · 12/05/2025 15:50

@OneAmberShaker It will have been about 8 weeks in my case, yes. But the email I received straight after applying for the conditional order told me that it could take up to 8 weeks to receive an email back from the court stating when the conditional order would be pronounced. In my case, it only took 5 weeks, but it could have taken up to an additional 3 weeks.

OneAmberShaker · 12/05/2025 16:45

So 6 weeks 1 day from 27th May you can apply for final order? Any idea how long that takes ?

my final order came through within hours. From what I’ve read this is the norm in most cases.

Bluebellspringtime · 12/05/2025 17:53

I applied for the conditional order on Jan 15 th. I can’t remember when the email came through, but the CO was read out on March 12th, ie eight weeks later. That seems pretty standard. I applied for the final order six weeks and a day later, on April 24 th, and it was granted within a few hours, which again is the norm, I think.

I applied for my conditional order 14th April and still haven't heard back. Based on your timescales I'm hoping I hear back this coming week! I just want this to all be over honestly.

I applied on 17th April and still waiting for my email to confirm when it will be heard in court….have you heard anything yet?

Since you were three days before me hopefully I’ll hear not long after you … you and me both I was hoping it would all be done before I go on holiday but that’s definitely not happening now xx

Just got mine through and it's going to be 10th June at midday. Hopefully yours will be with you shortly!

Same as mine Birmingham Court!?

Yep! I didn't realise how much I was worried about it all going through until I got the confirmation today. Glad you got yours too 😊

GlassHalfFull10 · 23/05/2025 06:26

I’m absolutely gutted here. Applied for mine 17 April (Birmingham) and had an email back with a query on one of our names. Immediately submitted a response and had an email back to say I’d hear by 17 July. I have a house waiting to complete that I’ll probably lose now as the timings were already extremely tight. Glad you all got yours, the wait for the hearing from filing is just insane.

Bluebellspringtime · 23/05/2025 08:50

It is insane, I agree @GlassHalfFull10 . I’ll keep everything crossed you get your house. It’s a bit disingenuous that the headline figure for how long a no fault divorce takes is 6 months … it really isn’t, thanks to inevitable long court waits.

Riverhousepuppy · 23/05/2025 11:13

Just to add another one to the thread I applied for conditional order on 6 May with response back to say I should hear back by 1 July. I am so hoping that it will somehow follow the trends on here and be pronounced by 1 July if not before. It feels like forever and the unknown waiting really doesn't help

I was told in my initial correspondence I would hear by 12th of June and it’s being heard on 10th so is being heard just shy of 8 weeks from when I applied for the conditional order. In total the whole process will have taken 34 weeks so 8 months give or take xxx

Yes, it's looking to be around 35 weeks here - so long as my ex doesn't renege on the consent order agreement before it's sealed... A far cry from the 26 weeks + 1 day most places quote!

planroundstops · 14/06/2025 03:54

Any update on when your conditional orders were read out in court ?

Riverhousepuppy · 14/06/2025 07:17

I received an email to say mine will be read out in court on 24 June. The original date for me to hear by was 1 July.
My next question is does anybody know how long finance consent orders are currently taking after being sent off. The plan being to get it sent off on 24 June so hopefully can apply for final order on 6 August

Mothership87 · 23/07/2025 06:40

Just applied for my final order this morning … says on the email should hear within 2 working days … hoping to hear today so it’s all over and done with

I applied for the final order at 00:41 this morning and already have it approved, so I'm guessing it shouldn't take too long!
