People who have been to mediation for child custody agreement? Does the mediator advise what’s best for the child? Whats normally discussed? I have a very stubborn STBXH who is demanding 50/50

The role of a mediator is not to take a side. It’s to get both parties to talk and to try to find areas of common ground, and discussion and negotiation

so you’re also being stubborn by refusing 50:50

why is 50:50 wrong here ?

Because she’s 2, in a stable routine at home and suddenly going backward and forwards personally I think is disruptive at her age. She also prefers to be with me anyway. That’s not me being stubborn

well, it can be argued and perceived as being inflexible, imposing your wishes, you controlling tine with ex and his child, being unwilling to compromise etc. sane as you view him as stubborn.

2 yo can do 50:50

not saying that’s right here as I don’t know you. But my point is a mediator will try to get you BOTH to move and compromise rather than dude with one .

what is your proposal ?
