CETV- how long did you wait.

My divorce isn't progressing at all, I'm waiting for his CETV I think he has a teachers pension but I'm not sure. I was told to expect a delay because there a back log it's been 6months, mediation can't do anything I just keep being told to wait it out. How long did you have to wait for o
it to come through?

Has been an issue, though TPS seem to be getting through things .

I’m sorry to tell you, but I’ve been waiting nearly a year for the CETV of my husband’s pension, and I don’t think it’ll be anytime soon.
TPS really are dreadful, I think it’s an absolute scandal.

NeverEverOhNo · 17/04/2025 22:38

About 16 months.

Mumof3confused · 18/04/2025 00:17

Waited a year for teachers pension CETV but I think they are clearing the backlog. There’s a FB group you can join for tips and advice specifically re TP for divorce.

I applied on Nov 16th 2024 for my CETV with Teacher's Pensions and received it through the post on the 17th February. Teachers who are retired are still waiting though by the looks of things from the Facebook group.

whymewhyme · 18/04/2025 06:04

Oh gosh, 1year to 17 months, that's a bloody long time.

IF he has applied for it it looks like im in for a long wait.

He's actually changed jobs last year so I'm not sure if it's still a teacher person or not.

There was a huge backlog but it is now cleared. THE TPS issued a statement in I think Nov last year saying that everyone who's already applied will be processed by Feb 25
I applied for mine in December 24 (after the statement was issued) and received it in March 25 I think. So if he applied months ago it is surprising that he doesn't have it.
Is there a way of checking that he has definitely applied for it, or the reason for it not being processed by the Feb 25 deadline

whymewhyme · 18/04/2025 12:35

I don't know if there is actually a way if checking I doubt it. I don't even know of he has applied

He should ne able to log into TPS and show you a receipt of application somewhere. Or screenshot if he prefers. It's under the Tasks section I think

Bluebellspringtime · 18/04/2025 20:28

I think it’s different for those who are actually in receipt of their pension. That’s taking the longest.

Octavia64 · 18/04/2025 20:30

We actually decided to just estimate it ourselves as the delay was so long.

it was my pension and would not have been large.

Bluebellspringtime · 18/04/2025 20:31

We did too, for our divorce. I couldn’t wait that long either.

whymewhyme · 20/04/2025 21:07

The thing is, I could ask him to prove it but he will not even reply to the email. Nor will mediation ask him to prove it, honestly don't see the point of medation. This man is impossible.

I’m currently in receipt of a pension, and I’ve been waiting for my CETV for two years now with no resolution. Our calculation seems to be taking the longest, and I’m starting to get really frustrated.
Is anyone else experiencing similar delays? Any advice on what steps I should take next would be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
