Hello. How long can a contact center be used for my children? We have been using this service for around 4 months now. There's been safeguarding concerns regarding my children. Dad is determined he will be having children put of the center after next court appearance. I am worried Dad will slip into old habits and things will be bad again once he doesn't need to attend the center? Can I request we continue to use use center as a drop of point for more time? Me and dad do not get on and there is no communication between us. There is no family around to help with drop offs and pick ups and I feel like it would be in everyone's best interest if we continue to use the facility? Has anyone any experience with using a center for a longer period of time? Thank you.

Are you coming up to a final hearing? Contact centres can be used longer term but the order would need to specify what the road map will be to moving out of a contact centre. It won't just say contact centre forever. If you only need the centre for handovers you would probably be encouraged to find an alternative.

Yes final hearing. I feel like contact has been going well and I would like to continue using this service. But I wasn't sure if this would be an option but it is something I strongly believe will benefit all involved. In terms of no contact with ex. And in terms of the children feeling safe and happy with this arrangement.
