Consent Order (Form A)

Some queries about the process for submitting the Consent Order.

Thankfully, it's a very amicable divorce and we have come to an agreement without solicitors. Divorce Online are currently drafting the Consent Order and we have completed the D81 form. But I'm not clear on next steps as advice/guidance is a bit vague.

Three questions about Consent Order Process

  1. We stated on the D8 Divorce Application that we want to apply for a financial order. Do we still have to submit Form A with the draft Consent Order?
  2. Do we have to wait for the Conditional Order to be approved, before submitting the Consent Order?
  3. We are submitting without solicitors. Do the documents have to be sent by post and/or can the fee be paid online?

Thanks! Good luck to those also on the divorce journey.

I didn’t think you can draft a financial order without a solicitor?

  1. when you lodge the consent order online you fill in a form. This is the form a.
  2. yes.
  3. submit online and pay the £58. You need a scan of the signed order and D81.
