Child arrangement order questions

Hi all. Me and my ex have just been through mediation which failed as I asked to have holidays abroad on the parenting plan. He refused as he doesn’t want DD to go away with me and my partner even though he’s known about this for months! So for this reason the mediator signed the form for it to go to court. I was originally going to go for a specific issue order however I did think about a child arrangement order as DC dad is useless. Forever let’s her down and takes no responsibility for her financially. With the CAO, if my daughter has a party on her dad’s day would he take her and what happens if he refuses? Because he won’t take her. Can I get it added I take her aslong as I show him the invitation. Also if she is poorly, what would happen then? I find it such a minefield and overwhelming process

I'm goijg to find this out very very soon, it was a worry for me, my gut tells me the court don't care about parties.
I'm fighting for extracurricular clubs too.

if you go for a CAO and you are the parent with care, you also get the ability to take your DD out on the UK on holiday without your ex's permission, for up to 28 days.
I wouldn't too much about the parties and illness, you as the parent with care have to make your DD available to your ex, you can't enforce him taking/having her and what she does while she is with him.
Pick your battles.

Edited. Assuming that you in UK
