It's a child maintenance one

My ex is supposed to pay his first payment of child maintenance today, he hasn't yet but I understand I need to wait 3 days that's fine.

We've just started this and since I applied for he's gone ape shit. We're on direct pay at the moment does that mean he will physically have to enter my bank details and send me the money? Because if that's the case I can bet my life he won't. Just wondering because I'm not sure how it works on his end. Also would he get a remainder text from them?

My ex is on direct pay and yes he pays directly from his back account to mine. My ex likes to wait until 11.50pm to pay and leaves sime weird message in the reference part. But if your ex doesn't then wait the 3 days and report. It costs him even more.

He's such a weasel and thinks the world owes him a favour, I can't imagine him actually picking up his phone and making the payment, I imagine he thinks he's smarter than the dwp somehow and can get away with it. I asked him to call our son at the end of January to hopefully re-establish his visits but that call never came, much like I assume his payment won't either 🙄

No surprise there. Log it with CMS. And then, I mean this nicely, prepare for the onslaught of not very nice contact you may receive from him once he realises it'll be taken directly from his wages and an extra 20% added on top.

At least this way you'll hopefully be more stable financially.

I did tell him before it was not his choice because when he got the letter he tried telling me he will only pay if I agree to xy and z I said it's a choice, if you don't pay willingly they will take it from your wages directly so he is aware.
