Finding a PODE

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find a Pensions On Divorce Expert? We’ve been advised we need one (by the financial mediation person) but I can’t work out if it’s a specialist we need or a divorce solicitor/practice would suffice.

Any guidance is much appreciated.

Hi, it’s a specialist pension expert you need who deals with looking at pensions for the purpose of divorce (not a family lawyer) if you google some should come up, I can recommend Mathieson Consulting

I used Southdown Consulting.

I don't recommend Mathieson.
For actuaries I like Collins or Excalibur, but some non actuaries are able to do this now and recognised by Resolution. A new company called podeservices.co.uk are very cost effective and do decent easy to read reports.

Does anyone have any rough costs for this? Spoke with my solicitor yesterday and she said we will need this due to TPS and LGPS being involved and said it could be £1500-3000 which is awful but the actual report is going to be necessary and make a difference to the agreement so is unavoidable.
