My husband and I were together for 21 years, married for 14, he ended the relationship at the end of November, he is now seeing someone else, some days I am fine, other days I want to vomit everytime I think about it, when will it get easier??? I feel so alone and broken right now, my kids are the only thing keeping me going right now.

It's very early days for you and I won't lie. It takes a long time. Meanwhile be kind to yourself and take it a day at a time. Don't think you have to make great strides. Do what you need to to protect yourself however - freeze joint bank accounts . Make arrangements with the bank for a new separate account. Start reading up on what your rights are. Of course it's going to hurt. You will vomit. It's all perfectly normal.

I’m going through it myself - my deepest sympathies it is brutal. I’ve just read how to heal a broken heart by Jane green - that is slightly uplifting. You will feel better some days, worse others. It will bring on physical symptoms- this is normal. I’m surviving on anti depressants and hope for a happier future. Time really is the only healer, which is kind of comforting. Treat yourself like you’ve been ill - lots of little comforts and kindnesses and don’t compare yourself to others - live little for a while. He will be the one crying in the end when you’ve moved on x
