Consent order - how long?

I am applying for my conditional order on Wednesday, and at the same time, my solicitor will be submitting the application for a financial Consent order. How long do you think it will be before a court decides to allow the Consent order? It’s all very fair as far as I know, we’ve both taken legal advice, everything is 50:50 and it’s been drawn up properly by a solicitor… are we talking days? Or weeks? And how long does it take before the conditional order is okayed?

Conditional order needs to be announced in court and then 6 weeks from that date you can apply for the final order. You should get an email pretty quickly telling you where and when it'll be in court.

Not sure on consent order times at the moment but would like to know the answer to that myself

My consent order took one week - it was submitted at the beginning of December. I was expecting it to take about a month but for some reason it was signed off within a week.

Oh that’s great @Browniesandcustard . I hope mine is that quick.

Mine took 6 weeks total back in August. Took a week for confirmation that it was with the judge# office. It had been mediated, gone through solicitors and was a 50/50 fair split.

Ita funny as once it came back it was less than 24hrs for the divorce to be completed (we just needed the order to push the button).

Hello @Arrabella47
Apologies for any delay!
yes, I applied for my CO as soon as I could, on Jan 15th.
I received the automated response saying I would hear when it’s going to be pronounced by March 12th. A few weeks later I received my certificate of entitlement and notice that the CO would actually be pronounced on March 12th. So eight weeks after I applied for it.
I can apply for Final Order on 24th April.

The 26 weeks start to finish is a bit of a misnomer.
My solicitor says it’s all down to court delays.

I hope this helps.
