Consent order question

Sorry for another thread. I've found a solicitor to draft the consent order. I was about to pay over the funds and her secretary said she hasn't space in her diary until January to do this. She'd need to talk to me and then draft the consent order. I'm pretty down now as ex is getting nasty again as he just wants the funds for me buying him out of the house asap. The deal would be weighted in my favour as it is and I'm really worried he'll change his mind. It's taken nearly 3 years to get this far and I finally have the money to buy him out and it's going to take months more. Can anyone recommend a company they used that did this for them recently or is this usual to have a 2 month wait to even get the solicitor to look at drafting a consent order?

This is unusual. Most solicitors can turn in round fairly quickly. What area of the country are you in?

I'm in London

I'd phone around and ask if anyone can do it sooner. That sounds a bit odd!
