Removing from mortgage, deed question

Hi all,
We are coming to the end of the divorce and at the stage where we need to sort the deed and the mortgage. There are two properties, we both keep a property and our names to be removed from eachother's. Also, my name need to be removed from the mortgage and transferred to ex's. (No properties will be sold)

Can someone advise do we each need a legal representation or is it dealt with one solicitor only?
Does a solicitor gets involved with mortgages or is it down to the bank only?

My ex has already started a process and was quoted 3K, am I expected to pay a similar amount from my side as well?

Any advice would be much appreciated
TIA
