Divorce with NO money

I want a divorce. We have no money. H works and earns a good salary but we get UC top up. I want to file for divorce but have no income at all. I need out of the relationship. I don't care about assets the house is a rental and cars a shit heap. He can have anything he wants. I'm happy to just walk away as long as I get to see the kids. What's the process of divorcing while potless or an I stuck until I raise the court costs?

I believe you can get fee remission on the cost of applying for divorce, just requires filing in an extra form. If you don’t need a solicitor it shouldn’t be too expensive. That said, if you have no income you’ll have a hard time setting up a new life so worth spending a bit of time planning, if you’re safe to do so.

Can you exit the relationship before divorcing? It’s quite common to have a period of separation, and the divorce takes at least 6 months in any case.

Is he likely to cause issues around the kids?

You say as long as you see the kids? Are you planning on the children living with you primarily?

I'm open to 50:50 as long as he does his own pick up and drop offs. I just don't have the energy to fight. I just want it to be as amicable as possible. The children don't need to see this shit.
