Advice required regarding property

Hi all,

I have recently started divorce proceedings on a very short marriage (2 1/2 years). I obtained a council property in 2010 with my children ( now aged 23 and 17). However, when we married in December 2021, we also purchased the council property. My ex-partner moved into the property in Jan 2020, the discount accrued was prior to my ex-partner moving in. I have received confirmation from the council stating the right to buy was solely in my name until time of the mortgage and the discount accrued was prior to him moving in.

My question is, has anyone else been in similar circumstances where the discount was accrued prior to the other person moving in and what was the outcome on the ex partner getting some of the discount? I am not arguing the equity in the property since the purchase?
Thanks for your advice around this.

If you could decide on the split of assets, what would you offer?
