Non Molestation order

I’m sorry to ask but has anyone been granted a non- molestation order and if so how did you do it? I’ve been putting it off but I need to do it now. I have a solicitor but I’d really like to do it myself to avoid costs.
Thank you.

I was talking to a man recently whose stb ex wife has one on him. She called the police every time they argued saying she felt threatened apparently that was enough to get him banned from the marital home, he was advised that he could fight it but it wasn't cost effective to spend a day in court doing so.

Op have you got a record of the times he's been distressing or intimidating to you? Have you asked him to stop?

You need to say something in writing such as 'your communication is distressing and intimidating, please stop.' And then see if he continues.

(Ps before anyone worries I'm not planning to date him and aware he may be lying)

Thank you both - it’s been ongoing and all comms are via email anyway so all in writing. Really appreciate your replies.
