Crawling inch by inch to exchange date and completion a couple of weeks later. Divorce should finalise about the same time.
Still under same roof as ex and it's toxic.
Nowhere to go to as yet because I can't rent; got to look for somewhere to buy. So will be staying on brother's sofa (at 52 lol!) whilst I find somewhere to buy.
DC 16 will be going to ex-laws with ex until his house purchase goes through/I do somehow manage to rent.

It's an utter shit show; I am broken and exhausted but have to believe it will get better 🙏

So sorry for what you're going through. It's temporary though. Sleeping on a sofa is temporary. Just keep your focus on your new home, decorate it how you like, no contact with X, and about to enjoy the next 40 years of doing what the hell you like with your life. Bliss.

Hello OP, I'm going through hell myself and don't see much light at the end of the tunnel. I'm reading many self help books. Attending therapy. I have aslo found the below posts that really helped me realise how bad men can be, but life does get better.
