Ex’s possessions

Hi. Looking for some advice.
My partners ex still has quite a bit of stuff in her house and despite having moved out a year ago, is still in there.
It’s an entire rooms worth of stuff and she now wants the room back so her children can have a room each.
He is still on the tenancy because the landlord is useless.
she has asked him on several occasions to get the stuff out, but he’s being awkward about it.
is there anything she can do to legally get the stuff out without getting in trouble or it costing her a fortune in court fees etc?

Do the children see the ex?
Can they each take a bag of his stuff with them on every visit?

He sees them sometimes, really isn’t much effort on his part though. It would take a year if they did it like that and also the kids don’t like going to his place, so he doesn’t bother
