Timeline getting to 50/50

Would love advice from anyone with recent court experience.
For various reasons, overnights with dad are currently 2 nights out of 14 (with additional non overnight midweek contact). Has been like this for 18 months. Children are 3 and 8, we have a final hearing in Novemner. IF the court decides on 50/50, what is likely timescale over which they’ll progress up to this? Little one starts school in September next year so could it be building up in stages til then?? Or would they insist it start sooner?

(please no lectures on rights or wrongs of 50/50)

Hi
court will want to see that you are working with the children towards the 50:50. Take the opportunity to write in and explain the timescale you feel would be best for the child. The court are interested in the children so be sure to voice your thoughts based on that outlook. Hope it goes ok for you and them.

Anyone with any first hand experience of this? What sort of timeline will they expect us to go from alternate weekends to 60/40 or 50/50 over? Would it be reasonable to do it over 9 months til LO starts school?
