Financial Order/Amicable Divorce

I’m nearing the end of my divorce. It’s all been done amicably with minimal input from solicitors.

We have agreed on a Financial Order, which is not 50/50 (I will be giving him a lump sum) but my solicitor says the judge will not agree with it because it’s not enough.

This is causing a lot of upset/arguments and we will probably have to use lawyers now, which just seems wrong.

Does anyone have any similar experiences? Will the judge accept the figures we present them with? Or will they require official valuations for property?

depends how imbalanced and why
also depends if you’ve both had independent legal advice ( you need to)
also depends on why it’s imbalanced

No idea. My solicitors have just told me the same, ie the court probably won't accept our financal split even though I can explain/give good reasons as to why it's uneven. Very worrying considering the house is already up for sale 😧
