Uc and divorce

The reason im poating is I've just spent 2hrs on hold to the gov divorce help line to enquire about this but i gave up after 2hrs on hold!!!!!

Can i get it at a reduced cost? Now stbxh has decided to a" allow me" got to sell the house I've decided to start the divorce....must be mad to do the two at the same time but i want rid of him, i earn around 11k and recived Uc aswel but i just haven't got the £593 to hand so i may have to get a credit card to pay for it.

I've started the divorce online and filled in the help with court costs, but i got a little confused, so I'm not sure if i am actually entitled to help.

It also asked about the finances side, and that threw me as i didn't expect to have to think about that just yet. I assumed if have to go to a solictor for that and i dont want to enter then wrong info.

Any advice welcome

Don't apply until you have looked into it and understood the process,

In particular sorting the financials is very important and it's generally a good idea to get this done before the divorce is finalised because being in a situation where you are divorced but still financially tied can lead you to a whole world of pain.

I was advised to sort out finances before going ahead with divorce. I decided to divorce first because exh refused to engage in sorting out finances to force me to stay married to him.
