I am separating from my husband, it’s become very difficult and emotionally draining. We are not really talking terms. Thankfully we have grown children and they are helping us part ways.
We have put our house on sale and plan on splitting the proceeds equally.
At this stage, we do not plan on divorcing. We may or may not do this in the future.
When I buy my new property, does my husband have the legal right to live in my new property? I understand he may have rights to a financial claim on the property, but my main concern is that he tries to move into my new property after we split,
Has anyone been through something similar, or understand the permutations of family law in this kind of example?
