Schedule 1 proceedings

My solicitor is suggesting I start with schedule 1 proceedings, not sure if this is the correct place for this thread.
After googling it, it doesn’t seem like it’s done very much and I wondered if anyone had gone with it and how it turned out?
Bit of backstory…split up with my ex 1.5years ago, we share one child and weren’t married. I currently live in the house with my 2 DD’s, He is refusing to let me sell the house unless he gets a bigger split of the profits, the house is jointly owned and due to be split 50/50, this has been confirmed with my solicitor. But he refuses to sign the estate agents contracts and there’s nothing they can do without his consent.
My solicitor has suggested we go for schedule 1 proceedings, to apply for the house and mortgage to be put solely in my name for the next 8 years until my daughter is 18. That way I can sell the house, pay off the mortgage and I would have enough equity left to be able to buy us a new house mortgage free and keep it until I needed to give him his percentage back when she turns 18.
We can’t speak, he’s not allowed to contact me due to a non molestation order, so there’s no hope of mediation or us sorting it out on our own.
