So I'm in a position where separation/divorce is on the table after an unhappy eleven years of marriage. I am a low wage earner and live in an expensive part of the UK. We have a mortgage together and one DC age 13. The house is worth 450k and we have 85k left on the mortgage. We have a small amount of savings, ie. 15k
My questions are;
- Has anyone separated but waited until the house has been sold before moving on? (I cannot afford to rent/buy without money from the sale of this home.
- Had to stay together because they are unable to afford living apart?
