Ex husband and I have sorted financials and minute of agreement is done and signed by both. What happens when one of us files for divorce now? What is the process? Is it just a case of signing a form as we are both in agreement? I’m not sure how it works

See if these help guides might help you out, I got a lot of my info from here. Since you guys have sorted finances, the process should be much easier/smoother. I think it's help guide 2 you need

Hi Anita ☝️

Op, I’ll add to Anita advice as usual.

Use the link above in Header to ADVICE NOW guides.

download everything you need - small fees are worth it.

basically walks you though a “diy” process.

tells you what you need solicitor for (specific tasks), what you don’t and should do yourself, and where you might need one

explain financial agreement process. Law on “fair settlment”, legal financial declarations, and “future needs” assumptions,

ill als Add the uk government divorce site is excellent . You’ll raise your petition there, but their own guides on the site are pretty easily explained

read up, familiarise yourself before you even think about a solicitor. Will save you £1000s. Solicitor will charge £200 plus an hour for just thinking about your case.

Hello @Appleofmyeye2023 !

To OP - definitely use all the resources you can find here in these comments/other threads and elsewhere online if you can, it's so worth it to just do it yourself and save thousands going down the drain xxx
